JumpSeat’s import/export feature supports the ability to review, edit and manage users externally from JumpSeat, or to add new users in bulk.
JumpSeat Administrators may access import and export functionality in the Users area, in JumpSeat Home.
To Import Users: Download a .csv template, and then complete the fields for each of your users, and re-import the template in order to add or edit user info.
To Export Users: There is a separate export option which creates a .user file, in the rare cases of moving users between JumpSeat servers/instances (not between JumpSeat applications within a single instance).
JumpSeat supports the following actions:
- Export a Blank User Import Template: JumpSeat’s user template to edit/update user information (including name, email/Application ID, JumpSeat Role, and hosted application) to support bulk import of many users.
- Export JumpSeat User List This export tool is good for external user reporting or analysis for use in other data visualization tools. The JumpSeat editable template also supports managing and editing many user values before re-importing the file.
- Export Users into a .user file: This is helpful in select cases where migration of users from one JumpSeat instance to another is needed.
